Office and Art

We're proud to be part of a future revitalization of Chicago's once unstoppable business district.

Chicago’s historic urban center is facing a shift. Along with the Loop, the most iconic street in Chicago, LaSalle Street, has been quieter over the last 3-5 years. Now with COVID, and other changes, the need for something fresh, unexpected and socially engaging is important.

Much is being asked of us as leaders and influencers and as the real estate community we have a huge stake in the outcome. We are the front line in challenging this.

Torque, along with many others, have been championing and looking for initiatives that can help aid in a transformation of the community. The Loop and its offices need a catalyst (or many) to help redefine and energize the vintage streets and iconic building.

Torque has been furthering a concept: employ color, art and the unexpected to change how people
see, engage with, visit and perceive lasalle st.
process. We are asking LaSalle St. commercial office owners
to participate in creating an outdoor art experience and installation. This includes sponsoring artists to activate the facades of the offices, the sidewalks, street, lamp posts, empty retail windows and more with color, images and creativity.

The goal is to foster a cultural draw and sensation that makes LaSalle St. an exciting destination for recreation, entertainment and pure curiosity. Ultimately, the aim is to drive activity and create community.

Stay tuned for more on an aspiration to bring Arts to LaSalle.
