321 N. Clark is consistent with the Hines strategy of repositioning and leveraging properties along the Chicago River. Their approach was to open the building to the river, an about-face from the original orientation, and to place a Lettuce entertainment restaurant at the river’s edge, one of three new restaurants. Other renovations included a lobby refresh and a number of other amenities, all demonstrating that River North is just as desirable as the Chicago Loop CBD.

Torque was tasked with taking a premium property and infusing the excitement of River North. To do it, we created a Mondrian style design motif that allowed for visual movement and combinations of color to sparkle through. We applied the design by using images in the Mondrian pane knockouts to review images of what’s new.
The branding campaign included Logo, email marketing and direct mail marketing. We also developed renovation construction barrier signage and also designed elements of the sales center in phase II of the project.
